In honor of St Paddy’s day being just a few days away, I went with an Irish whiskey cocktail! I made the Irish Maid - which is a riff on the classic Kentucky Maid - the Irish version swaps out the bourbon for Irish whiskey and the simple syrup with honey simple syrup!

Looks like we finally might be getting a bit of snow in the Portland area in a few days! So in honor of this impending event - I decided a nightcap named in its honor was due! Hence the Storm King! It's a blend of scotch, walnut liqueur, Benedictine and angostura bitters. Now, if you're not a scotch lover - trust me. This is such a smooth sipping cocktail - you will be happy you made it!! Cheers Friends!

So I asked my online community if there was a specific cocktail or ingredients they wanted me to use this week for Cocktail Friday - and beer was the number one request! With that in mind, and not being a huge beer drinker, I went straight to my favorite beer - the Guinness Stout!
What came next is a delicious and creamy Stout Espresso Martini!
It really turned out delicious! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I was craving something like a Bees Knees cocktail - after a little research, I found the Bebbo cocktail! A prohibition cocktail basically taking the bees knees and addng a bit of fresh squeezed Orange Juice - I went Blood Orange since they're in season! The thinking behind this cocktail is - during prohibition, Gin wasn't the best quality, being made in bathtubs, basements, etc... so the addition of the orange juice helped ease the Gin...

Over the holidays, we watched so much Bond - James Bond.
I felt insipred to shake up the Vesper Martini.
Most martinis consisting of just spirits are stirred, not shaken. But in the 1953 Bond Novel Casino Royal, Bond wanted the vesper shaken over ice until cold and served with a lemon twist. Who am I to argue with James Bond?

We are in full December holiday sparkle mode! So I decided to take one of my favorite cocktails and glam it up a bit! The French 75 consists of gin, Eldferflower liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice and bubbles! I went ahead and added a bit of cranberry juice and edible gold glitter dust to give it a more sparkly holiday vibe!

I was at the store the other day and ran across Lillet Blanc (French aperitif made from wine) on the shelf and thought - yep! That’s what I’m using to make my cocktail this week!
The Corpse Reviver #2 is a delicious cocktail dating back to 1871 (possibly earlier but no one knows really knows??). Lillet Blanc, Gin, Elderflower Liquor and fresh squeezed lemon - can’t go wrong with that! My YouTube page has all the details!
